Rejectee Therapy for The Adventures of Greg & Ed

  • I agree with Dave and Matt. You guys are a lot of fun to watch on screen.

I don't know Ed, but Greg is an awesome, naturally funny comedian and it'd be great to see him on the big screen (talking).

Do another show next month with dialogue, even if the sound is recorded on an iPhone or looped in afterward. You can get away with a lot of technical limitations just by being charming!

Yeah this was cool. I love hip hop and cereal so that quest O's thing was great. I think it's clear you had fun making this and you're likable onscreen, so just add sound. Sound stuff is cheap. Make the investment and keep making stuff.
But your instinct to use a limitation as a strength was a good one. It didn't quite work, but I like how you didn't let it stop u from making something.

Thank you so much for the input.

Yeah, I felt my on-camera microphone was not good enough to record sound, so I let that dictate the pilot.

Next time I'll get audio for sure!

  • You guys are fun dudes! I wanted to see you talk!

I'd say ABSOLUTELY try to have audio. This silent film thing is something I feel like every Windows Movie Maker filmmaker tries out once when they first start making movies and it never quite works. It never works! The Artist is the only time since silent films that silent film parodies have worked. (maybe I'm forgetting another attempt).

But it's fun. The QUEST O's prop! You guys got out of your apartment and did cool stuff. It's fun. But maaaan I can't get into your story when you're doing that silent film shit for no good reason other than maybe production limitations.
