Rejectee Therapy for The Plugger

This was good. I'd say it was as close as a pilot can get to getting in the show. But looking at the pilots we had and the primetime shows, we decided the audience would like another pilot better.
The acting and production value was great, the writing within the scenes was good, too. And the running gag of the tossed phone and the wire was great.
    My two problems:
    1) Confusing. The story was hard to follow. I watched it again and still am unsure about the plot. Maybe I'm dumb.
    2) I didn't like the burrito jokes. Felt like lazy joke writing to me. Especially because there are a lot of nice jokes previously, so to go so broad in the last scene was jarring.

I don't know, overall this was good. I also like the NRA pilot you did a while back. I wasn't on the panel that month, but I watched it here and was really into it. If you ever want to send me your script before you shoot something I'd be happy to look at it.

  • It's unclear to me if these solicitations for feedback are strictly for panel members. As a regular Joe, I'd say this had great production value and great performances -- Willy is one of my favorite 101 actors. On the storyline, I was a little confused by the wire thing -- I just recorded you and you are going to get busted. I obviously got the joke by the end but there was a learning curve for this audience member that seemed unintentional. I did loved the throw away the cell phone joke and would have liked it more if you kept going bigger and bigger. Maybe the second time a kid runs up and says "Wow, free Droid Razr!" Third time the phone hits a cat, a baby, Strands, etc...
