  • Thank you so much David! The feedback is super helpful and we're gonna try to fix all those parts of the show and hopefully enter something for next month!

  • Haha this was a lot of fun - the style was cool and the story had some nice momentum. On another month I could even see this making it into the screening, but it was a pretty competitive month. I think this was my favorite animated submission we watched.

I honestly don't have a ton of constructive feedback other than, hey, it was good, try again. Maybe it didn't connect with everyone in the room because the style was so loud and wacky but I don't think that should be discouraging.

In the interest of giving a few passing thoughts, take 'em or leave 'em:

-- The "need" to pay rent doesn't come up until like a minute into the thing. As a result it starts kind of slow up top until they have that specific problem to solve and the journey begins. You could experiment with getting to the problem sooner.

-- The audio is kinda rough for an animated show. I'm not sure how you're recording the voices but a lot of it seems a little echoey and the mix is a little all over the place. Also there isn't a ton of music or sound design, which is all stuff that can help an animated show. With animation, it can be nice to create all the little foley and sound effects that would naturally happen on a live action set.

-- You're doing an animation about two guys sitting in an apartment who need to pay rent. I know they go on a trippy adventure into the television but animation doesn't have the limitations of live action and you could really explore some interesting settings if you wanted.

    Hope you keep submitting!
