I don't think the video quality was the issue, but this pilot did play well in the room. No one commented on the video at all.
Really funny premise, well executed. Definitely saw potential here. Performances were all great ABC sitcom-level quality characters.
As far as why it didn't get in, I think everyone kinda got the joke early on and sometimes it can make things predictable. I've personally done this before with my shows in the past, where the premise seems bigger than the characters at times.
Technically, you didn't do anything wrong, which I know can be a frustrating thing to hear. I just know that by the end we were kinda over the idea.
One question I have in particular is: would this have done better if the video quality was better? Maybe it’s the bargaining stage of the grief here, but I realized after submitting that youtube fucked up my video pretty badly and I’d like to know how much of an impact that had. I’ll probably use Vimeo next time
