  • Thanks for the feedback Adam! I'll definitely check all of those out and also try to improve the sound!

  • Hey Jake,

The one-person show is one of my favorite Channel 101 staples. They’re incredibly hard to pull off though. It’s almost certainly easier to mobilize and get a group of friends or strangers together to make something than it would be to make a good one-person show alone.

The pacing of It’s a Match is really very slow and ultimately not much happens. If you’re unfamiliar with the Story Circle that a lot of people preach around here, definitely check it out. It’ll be a big help in telling an active and compelling story.

    Here’s a link:

Mike McCafferty and Steve Huey are pretty much the masters of the one-person show at Channel 101. You should check out Mike McCafferty’s Quest or Steve Huey’s Purple Squid. Murder Town by Wade Randolph is a really great one too. Hopefully they’ll be both inspiring and give you a better sense of what you can & need to achieve to make an entertaining show alone.

Also, you probably know this but I feel compelled to mention anyway since it’s really important: Having good sound is really important! Bad sound will make even a good show unable to be screened in a movie theater.

I hope you keep making shows and submitting! I think you’re good on camera and have some really interesting comic timing.

  • Hey guys, this was my first attempted pilot and I knew it wasn't the best, I would still love some feedback though. I appreciate it!
