  • Here is Thunder Pussy, for anyone interested:

KR Parker, thank you so much for the feedback! There is a great sense of community here when one of the judges reaches out to me personally. Thank you so much for this feedback. Every word that everyone suggests is wet and soggy with delicious and nutritious truth. I have never been more excited and pumped to make another pilot and kick ass. This is a real special place full of real special people. Thank you so much!

Hi, Jeg, I was on the panel this month! I agree with Alex, without an arc it's hard to vote it back and want to see more. Also I think seeing a REAL person within the first 30 seconds or so will help the audience grasp onto the idea more. If I remember correctly you also submitted Thunder Pussy which was my favorite of the ones you submitted. It had more of a story and your unique style worked for it! We wanted it to be longer than it was!

  • Hey Jeg,

Wasn't on the panel this month so I can't speak for them but here's my two cents anyway.

I'm combining critiques for this and Judge Judy Garland together. I think they're both sketches rather than shows. Though you don't have to follow the heroes journey structure beat by beat, I think a great place to start when starting to submit to 101 is to look up Harmon's essays on the Story Circle. Giving your characters goals and a journey will make something feel much more like a show.

You obviously have a unique style and, while I do encourage you to consider trying shooting stuff in a more traditional way with actors and locations, I would be interested in seeing more stuff in this format -- maybe consider trying a narrative vs fake reality/documentary format.

On a more subjective note, I didn't particularly find any of the jokes funny, so that would've been a reason why I wouldn't have voted for this at the panel.

    I hope you keep submitting!
